My best friend’s brother is the most adorable little boy in the world. He’s such a huge geek and gives me hope for humanity’s future, he really does.
He wanted a Lego Star Wars cake, complete with Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker… and I did my damn best to fulfil that wish.
Personally, I like the writing best. The cake itself I like the least, because I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my eyes lately (that’s a long story, though) and not being able to see straight, plus having horrendous, incorrectable double vision meant that the lego brickwork came out very shoddy indeed. I’ve been told to stop complaining about the little imperfections like that, though, so I guess I should do that now.
Also, take a look at Darth Vader. He’s a lovely example of what happens when you take shortcuts and use pre-coloured fondant instead of colouring it yourself… It wasn’t strong enough, and the weight of his body crushed his legs. SIGH.
Here’s my brother’s birthday cake! It definitely won me the ‘Best Sister of the Year’ award. How? Well, let me tell you a story, a story from my childhood that inspired this cake…

I decided I’m going to upload this anyway. A girl a few weeks ago wanted cupcakes for her birthday; bears and a goose. I never uploaded the photo of the goose cupcake, but here it is. D:
(No, the goose isn’t very accurate. His head’s too big and neck’s too short, but I was panicking to finish, so I don’t care.)

I worked with one of my best friends to make her friend’s retro tea party themed birthday cake.
The Hogwarts Pride bunting was my (slightly tipsy while at a party) idea, and it came out really well!

A woman called Samantha asked me to make her friend a rainbow cake for her birthday. This was the result, and they were all really pleased with it. Oh! The inside was a rainbow layer cake, too!
My grandma’s sister gave me her old Kenwood mixer, because she never uses it and the one I bought a few years ago was really crappy (read: it never worked.)
It’s still got the manual and a pretty dust/grease cover.
I’m so freaking happy about this, you have no idea.
